Sue Smith

England International Player, BBC Sport & ESPN TV Pundit and UCFB Mentor

The Doncaster Belles player has joined UCFB as an Ambassador and works with undergraduates exploring aspects of football broadcasting and media. Sue is also actively involved in supporting UCFB’s student recruitment attending UCAS fairs and open days.

Sue, an England international midfielder, has embarked upon a media career in recent years and is a regular football pundit for the BBC and Sky Sports on women’s football.

UCFB students are able to gain insight in to on and off the pitch with Sue showing how the two aspects of football activity work together throughout a season as well as mentoring our female students to highlight the fantastic contribution that women make behind-the-scenes in clubs up and down the country as well as in the wider sports industry.

Rachel Brown-Finnis

Former Everton Goalkeeper, England International and Team GB, London Olympics 2012


Rachel was regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the country. She was an England regular for the past few seasons and was often the choice keeper for the Three Lions, right up until her retirement in January 2015.

Having obtained her degree in the USA, Rachel understands the opportunities that education provides in the sporting industry, and as a qualified teacher, she is also a valuable provider of education.

In 2012 Rachel was also selected to be a part of Team GB at the London Olympics. With Rachel’s experience in the world of sport and education, as a UCFB Mentor, she is able to provide a comprehensive and holistic insight of the industry to our students during their three years at UCFB.
