Students enjoy fight night after invite from former world champion Ricky Hatton

UCFB students were treated to a night of ringside boxing alongside former world champion Ricky Hatton thanks to a unique partnership with his academy.

Students from UCFB Etihad Campus travelled to Fenton Manor in Stoke to watch the Hatton Boxing event, which featured three fights including Hatton-trained prospect Reuben Arrowsmith taking on Ryan Toms.

UCFB media students feel the excitement of match day at QPR’s Loftus Road

UCFB and Championship side Queens Park Rangers have kicked-off an exciting new partnership which will see students gain valuable match day media skills

300 up for UCFB employability team

UCFB reached another landmark this week when it struck a partnership with its 300th organisation to enable students to access vital work placement roles in the football, sport and events industries.

Since opening its doors in 2011, UCFB has emphasised the importance to all students of taking on work placement opportunities alongside their studies. In that time, over 1,000 students have been placed in elite organisations around the world including The Football Association, UEFA and the Rugby Football Union.

UCFB, a world-first in higher education, and the Jason Roberts Foundation, fronted by the former Blackburn Rovers striker, have teamed up to offer students the chance to gain vital work experience roles in the football industry.
