The UCFB Sports Entrepreneur Week, a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style competition for ambitious UCFB students to pitch their innovative ideas for sports companies to a panel of successful business leaders, returns for its second successive year on Monday 7th December 2015.

This inspiring competition is led by UCFB Chairman and Co-Founder Brendan Flood and provides students with an unprecedented opportunity to compete for vital company investment. Students will be asked to pitch their sports business ideas to our esteemed Board and field any questions. The winning team or individual will receive a £5,000 investment, with two runners-up each earning £2,500.

We encourage all students at UCFB Wembley and UCFB Burnley to enter the competition and look forward to seeing their entrepreneurial spirit and creativity.”

How to Apply

To enter the UCFB Sports Entrepreneur Week, please email enrichmentwembley@ucfb.com (UCFB Wembley students) or enrichmentburnley@ucfb.com (UCFB Burnley students) with the following information:

  • Full name of each person in the team
  • Main contact email address
  • Main contact telephone number
  • Degree that each student is studying
  • Description of your sports business idea (500 words max)
  • Name of the potential business

The competition entry deadline is Thursday 26th November 2015. All successful entrants will be notified by Tuesday 1st Decemeber 2015 and must be available to pitch their ideas to the panel at UCFB Wembley on Monday 7th December.
