UCFB and Jason Roberts Foundation team up to offer students work experience opportunities

UCFB, a world-first in higher education, and the Jason Roberts Foundation, fronted by the former Blackburn Rovers striker, have teamed up to offer students the chance to gain vital work experience roles in the football industry.

The foundation, which was set up by Roberts in 2007 when he was playing for Rovers, aims to offer participation and playing opportunities for young people who’ve not had the chance to access opportunities within football, training and development, and employment.

In Focus: Female sport participation numbers are up but more encouragement is needed

Sport England’s announcement that more women than ever are now participating in sport is a welcome one but there is still big room for improvement.

That’s the view of UCFB Wembley’s Desislava Goranova following the publication of Sport England’s Active People Survey (APS), which showed that more than 7.2 million women now take part in sport in England and do regular physical activity – 250,000 more than when the This Girl Can campaign was launched in 2014.
