Yes. Please let us know that you are holding an offer as your insurance choice and then we can process your application without delay as soon as you accept a place.

Do I need to pay an application fee/deposit?+

A Booking Fee of £250 must be paid upfront, followed by an initial rent payment on 30th August 2017. The £250 will be transferred to a deposit once you take occupancy of the accommodation. This will then be held until the end of the tenancy as a damage deposit.

Should you wish to cancel your accommodation request, the accommodation has a 14 day cancellation period in which you will be able to get the £250 refunded. After the 14 days, the £250 booking fee is non-refundable. All rooms are offered on the understanding that you will stay and pay for the room for the entire occupancy period as stated on the Residency Agreement. If you do not get the required grades to attend UCFB the notification to cancel your accommodation booking must be done in writing (emails are accepted) and UCFB will confirm to the accommodation. You will then be able to be released from the tenancy. If you are cancelling your room for any other reason, you are still liable for the full occupancy, but can locate a replacement tenant. The accommodation will also be able to assist with this.

Is the accommodation deposit refundable if I don’t end up attending UCFB?+

The accommodation has a new cancellation policy for 2017/18. Grand Felda operates a 14 day cancellation period in which you will be able to get the full £250 refunded. After the 14 days, the £250 booking fee is non-refundable in any situation.

If you do not get the required grades to attend UCFB the notification to cancel your accommodation booking must be done in writing (emails are accepted) and UCFB will confirm this to the accommodation. You will then be able to be released from the tenancy and not liable for any further payments.
